yep - pyne is PM material - and he is 100% correct to think about collecting the outstanding education debt from the estate of the dead... the education debt is simply a debt - just like any other debt.
seriously - but from memory, the average hecs debt is a miserable $16,000 - and frankly that is chicken feed compared to what a person can earn.
sadly, australians are a nation of takers and leaners. it is not surprising that boaties want to get to this country... just get to australia, get some pension ,and go and live in their home country... and when there is trouble in their home country (eg lebanon), get the australian government to fly them back to australia
