Potash (potassium) is a major needed element in deficient northern hemisphere soils, it’s used in equal amount as phosphate in some cases. Potash is rarely used broad acre Ag in Australia except for certain situations ie potassium nitrate a folia application to increase the size and yield of citrus such as oranges.
