Not sure if many or any were watching Q and A on the ABC tonight.

There was some very interesting discussion about manufacturing in Australia.
One of the keys to being competitive, is to have competitive energy supply. Right now we have the opportunity to get low cost gas into Australian manufacturing markets to help kick start the manufacture of products that are imported.

My interest was peaked when, as an example & I quote
" We import fertilisers from overseas, and we import it from overseas because they have got lower energy costs than what we have. Yet Australia has a huge abundance of energy of all forms and of all the countries in the world we should have competitive, sustainable energy supply here and be able to use that to kick start a lot of those industries"

The gentlemen talking about this was none other than Neville Power, former Chief Executive of Fortescue Metals & now National COVID-19 Coordination Commission leader
