Id agree with you, though the priority of the Carbon Tax is not about investing. This is where I have a problem.
1. The carbon tax is about penalising once again private business
2. It makes us less competitive. Seams we do live in the Asia province which could see the impacts on Australia even greater.
3. It’s also about penalising families only to see some money to be handed back to them. Changing hands, further red tape.
4. Billions of dollars to go overseas, Carbon Credits
5. Most expensive Carbon Tax in the world.
Reduce the tax substantially, 100% invest in education and innovation. Then you have my vote. At the moment its not right and very distructive.
Lets face it, Australia needs to become another leader in some new industry in the future. Mining is just not going to cut it in the near future.
