Again good posts supporting democracy and freedom of speech. The moment the press, media or any of us are gagged, and told (dictated to)what can be printed, written or verbalised, we are as good as a communist country with ditators in control.
As Iron_mike wrote, "What happened to the Gallipoli spirit - or the pioneering spirit with which very brave men and women who had nothing but sheer willpower carved out the future of this once great country at great physical and mental cost to themselves, under unimaginable circumstances compared to todays "soft" living."
I can't beleive how anybody could stand up and proudly support their rights being eroded, allowing some one else to dictate to them and their children what they can and cannot read. To have some one else decide what is good for them, and what is bad for them, what can be believed and what is a croc.
There will always be the loons who can't make up their own minds, who teeter on the edge of schizophrenia or mental instability, do we destroy our hard earned rights and democratic freedom because a couple of people go over board?
Media Reporters since time began have always looked for the sensational story, to sell an extra newpaper, some have acted in an unlawful way to snare that story, that is no reason to gag us all. Give us a break!
