A little less power ? Are you serious ? By all means everyones entitled to their opinion but maths on the back of a napkin should help you understand the magnitude of power savings alone @ 1 day retention ?
JDEC standard Dram is refreshed every 64ms ... thats 15 times per second it requires refreshing and power....
That means Dram memory has to be refreshed 1,296,000 times with electricity...
@1 Day retention ....
Even if ReRam is 1000% less power effcient that means the equiivalent of 10 refreshes a day... not one and a quarter million times...
Do you know know how much the averge global power cost per KWH has gone up from Jan 2022 to Jan 2023 ... over 30% . It's growing year on year as the world targets net zero carbon emmissions.
