I think the strategy of saying 4ds is persuing multiple licencing agreements is the right one. If I was one of the big suiters - say Apple for example, and heard this at the IMEC conference I would be thinking I want this and I don't need to share it with others - which leads to the big takeover. When your worth $3 Trillion dollars - it just some spare change really. The other factor is the team at 4DS are still incentivised for the takeover, so I think this is still the real strategy.
