If CO2 is a poisonous gas, I'm surprised where not all dead now, given every breath we exhale comprises C02 and H20. Unless I'm wrong, I understood respiration (aka breathing) to be something like C6H12O6 + 6O2 = 6CO2 + H2O. Shouldn't take for gospel what Julia says...lol.

The deaths quoted by gcadenaz were due to lack of oxygen (O2) rather than CO2 "poisoning":)
