Since SmartPhones, I see lots of people entertianing themselves with mindless madness on Facebook and youtube. I reckon they spend more time per day watching hand-held unmarketable homemade junk, than they do watching quality production stuff. This event has chewed up huge swathes of traditional viewing time, and its free.
ie: Content that costs money and is worth money, now has to compete with free junk.
