Those loving parents were ever fearful of their volunteer sons and daughters not coming back.Those volunteers, lovers of their country and duty bound were fearful of not coming back....
God the Father loving mankind so much had to forsake his Son on the Cross where he received the imputation and judgment of the very things (sins of the world, our unrighteousness) that separated us from an eternal love relationship.
God the Son voluntarily took on human kind, to be one of us, to live a perfect life to qualify to take on that judgment and then to voluntarily receive the things that make us as vile as we are,enemies which separated us
He who knew no sin was made sin for us
The barrier was broken. Jesus Christ is the living sacrifice and after it was over, completed, he was resurrected as man going back to the Father, coming back for us
Now isn't that supreme love?
