Yet again the public support for Malcolm Turnbull was everywhere to be seen & in stark contrast to MPs close to Tony Abbott, as with Sophie Mirabella just last week.
Further to the matter of asylum seekers & consience votes on gay marriage, the report below by Bianca Hall includes the following:
"... Asked whether he had other knowledge of the matter, Mr Abbott said: ''Well, all sorts of rumours go around the Parliament at all sorts of times.'' He declined to elaborate on the rumours, telling the ABC there had been ''far too much gratuitous commentary about this case''. ''And I think the case should be left in the hands of the court to do its job,'' Mr Abbott said. ..."
After all the time & vitriol afforded to the issue in Parliament by the Coalition in the face of government calls to leave it to the courts & admitting to 'hearing rumors'; suddenly Abbott now wants to leave it to the courts.
I guess it's time for the next hit-n-run stunt from Abbott while Turnbull still showcases liberal values & beliefs.
