It must have been from a long time ago. The merger and acquisition story was what I was told back in 2019, but from later talking to the guys from Lederle that are still with us that story turned out to be wrong. You would really have to go and talk to the people at Race before my time to know why they came to believe the M&A theory.
Of course it really doesn’t matter too much at this point what the reason was beyond providing some historical context. Our development of bisantrene would be exactly the same now no matter what the reason(s) why Lederle abandoned bisantrene.
