You raise a really good point here. The company you have spoken about has kept their spending within the constraints the market allows. This has given me (and other investors) the confidence to invest large amounts of capital in the business. For a biotech to succeed it needs good IP, competent and honest management, and a willingness to live within the constraints of the capital markets. If any one of these three things are missing shareholders are not going to be happy in the long run.
