SYDNEY (Dow Jones)--Centro Properties Group (CNP.AU) has appointed external advisers to help it with likely asset sales in the new year, the Australian Financial Review reported Wednesday.
The report said accounting firm KPMG has been appointed to conduct a strategic review of Centro's operations and investment bank Lazard Carnegie Wylie will be appointed as a key adviser.
The report said Centro Properties Group Chief Executive Andrew Scott spent Tuesday meeting angry institutional shareholders, and told them he took personal responsibility for a crisis that has pushed the group to the brink
