I have been a buyer today. The UK will urgently require local gas in the years to come. tensions with Russia aren't going away anytime soon. The UK have even mentioned national service to counter the threat.
Renewables in the UK are never going to to supply base load especially in winter. Sourcing energy locally will become a national security issue in the future. Gas is here to stay for 50 years.
