I’m guessing but to take Nike itself it has about 750 stores across 30-40 countries and about 200 seperate suppliers, far fewer than Adidas but still complex. Some of the big shoes plants in China makes shoes for a several brands so there would need to be protections for deign or production IP , new materials, promotions etc. etc
They could for example link up all designers and senior sales staff, or all production planners, logistics teams , all managers of stores in a region or country etc.

The fee per contact point is probably quite low .. even just $10 per quarter for 25 nodes or cheaper per hundred, but it opens up the possibility of dozens of functional networks rather than having expensive top level security for just a few executives.

Perhaps put it this way: if X company was paying $3 m a year in secure networking it may be only paying $1.2 million now but getting far more breadth of security across the entire business. So the business model seems to be be high volume/ low price with rapid global penetration. ... an Aldi of secure dedicated communication.
