I know what you're talking about. When I embarked on my second MA on Studies in Religion, I took a unit called The Philosophy of Science taught by a crazy, but genius, Russian professor. It was one of the best subjects I've ever studied and, yes, it absolutely blew my mind to learn exactly how brilliant and vulnerable scientific methods and reason really are. The text we used was "What is this thing called science?" written by an Aussie. Bloody good book. BTW I got 94/100 for the subject which blew my mind even more LOL.
