I think its a combination. The strong performance of the DJT and American airlines, has obviously created a very positive sentiment towards the efforts at Qantas to turn it around. Given the heavy American influence on its register.

Its like the old farmer saying; "Its no good praying for rain with the wind in the south". Well, the wind is clearly in the north for Qantas. The ducks are in a row.
