The stock is differently being manipulated by the buy back. I’ve been in this stock since Oct 14 and each time there has been a buy back, the share price gets manipulated up and down by the instos. Of course Qantas wants a lesser share price as it is beneficial to them during a buy back! Also each time during the buy back the reason given why the share price drops has been POO. (even when oil was low) eg global growth is declining and not good for cyclical stocks.
I guess time will tell however management has indicated that they can manage the increase in oil and I have no reason to doubt them!!!
