P2W as Alan Joyce said, he doesn't have any problem with any of the claims you mentioned. Probably because those people have not had any salary increase since 2007. But he did say that he does have a problem with employing people living in Australia, that's because he can pay an Indonesian baggage handler $5 a day.

Snuff, what happened to Ansett? Air New Zealand was allowed to destroy Ansett from the inside. Qantas is already recognised by ASIC as an essential service and therefore cannot be the subject of a takeover. Any takeover attempt will be blocked by the regulator, so talk of Qantas takeovers is nonsense created by those trying to scaremonger.

So at what stage do we as Australians stand up and say No, we don't want every major company to move employment offshore. If this continues, eventually the only major companies employing people in Australia will be energy & mining until companies untill the resources run out. It has never been right to justify moving jobs offshore on the basis of making a bigger profit, done en-masse it will bankrupt our country. An economy cannot grow unless the median salary grows, this is a fact. The same is happening here as in the USA. In the 1980's average CEO benefits were 40 times the average median workers benefits. Now the CEO's are getting approx 300 times the average median worker.

Alan Joyce supports this disparity, he is one of those creating it.
