After peoples failed lately to smuggle explosives on Board in London, than check lugagge in and load the luggage into the plain leaves many options and ways open to do somethings.

The plane will always leave..... follows procedures like outcall's etc. but it will leave without the not boarded but checked in person.
About the damage, well could be lucky this luggage was in the middle or closer in the plane and aborb a possible expplosion, but close beside the door could have desasterous consquences.
Just hope, that this thinking come not through and also technically failure will be not good for Quantas in theses days.
