bleach88, I'm with you. The alliance between Qantas and China Southern sounds like a perfect fit and has huge cost savings and synergies - a big win-win for both sides. No doubt Abbot will ease of the ownership restrictions and let them buy in and join the Qantas board. This looks like far more than a code-share deal to me (shared planes, maintenance, staff, passengers, routes, terminals, etc, etc, - as they say, if you cant beat em join em (and they have exactly the same model planes too - what a coincidence!)
