    Eagle, when you last bought tickets for a flight did you choose the cheapest or did you buy Quantas? If you bought the cheapest then you would have done what the vast majority of Australians are doing. THEY DO NOT CARE! So if Quantas are to survive they must reduce costs to get ticket prices down which also means reducing wages. Otherwise Quantas is dead, bankrupt.

    I am sure legacy issues have helped drive them into the ground. I have a brother-in-law who worked for Q. When Q was privatised and people were made redundant he ended up with the sweetest deal for travel. Just last year he and his family had their last cheap flight on Q. How many years is that? And those flights, for him, his wife and his three daughters have cost the Company.

    And you complain about foreign ownership! How do you change that? Run a profitable company producing huge profits then Australian Super funds will buy and hold shares. Our (your) Super funds do not want to invest in losers.

    THAT IS THE BRUTAL TRUTH.
