my posts r more question than opinion,i know emirates,singapore also have the a380,seems weird when u take db's 777 v's a380 fuel consumption figures into account u would have thought fuel consumption would b estimated pre ordering.I don't know how many airlines have a380 and how many.The only point i'll make by memory at senate enquiry joyce said 787 will leap frog other aircraft? and that as well as being used for long haul ,if required it is not to big to b used for domestic,i think he was making the point the 777 maybe to big for domestic?My posts r as if u were ceo today,would u cancel 787 and order 777 taking into account delivery times,it appears to me after briefly reading some statisic's on the boeing website.Is it reasonable to say qantas's best chance of gaining a competitive edge is to wait and hope the 787 does prove to provide qantas with that edge especially when as one post stated the qty of 777,s emirates has in its fleet and on order.
