Gday Benson Yes the 787 delays were due to production delays by Boeing and its vendors. However i seem to recall that Qantas also pushed back the delivery of its 787s. I maybe wrong there? However i also believe that most or all 787s will go to Jetstar. Hence the fact that I am very critical of the present management's policy of investing in the LCC model at the expense of the premium airline. Also Benson the 787 is still unproven, whereas the 777-300ER is a fantastic and reliable aircraft, which will serve Qantas's competitors well for many years to come. Having said that I certainly hope that the 787 will be a great aircraft, Boeing is best in my book. Qantas should have ordered the 777s years ago, even Geoff Dixon admitted his mistake, and that's saying something. GLTA@QF
