Wearing a suitable mask has always reduced the risk along with hygiene measures and that was always the objective NOT total eradication. If Taiwan can squash it (scare mongering reports of a second wave last month never materialised) with a population of 23 million in a small island, then so can Australia despite the protests. But moving forward something definitely needs to be done to discourage the protesters.
