Watched a report on the ABC last night which said that 40% of the workforce is a casual or on a short term contract these days.
While all the rightys may cheer,its hard to get finance for anything.Hard to plan your life.
My experience as a causal was to get laid off one day before i was to be made a permenant.
Is this a road we want to go down?
Is it fair?

head2641, why do you think so much of the workforce is now casual/subcontracted/out sourced etc? Maybe it has something to do with how hard it is to fire a useless lazy employee? While Howard may have gone too far in the other direction, a big part of work choices was about getting people back into full time work.
