Remember Dixon constantly talking the company down due to the threat of competition on their lucrative routes (Howard fell for that one) and oil prices when during that time Qantas had the best hedged position bar none.... of course that didnt prevent them from introducing fuel levies.

And of course how much was old Dixon remunerated? Out of this world is the answer.
