The only way we can bring executive salaries back to where they should be is to bring democracy into the public corporate world. One share holder one vote. Right now you can have a situation where 99% of shareholders reject a motion and the 1% win. And i venture to say that in most cases, the 1% who vote don't even own shares. Else, we should ban institutions from voting, unless they go back to their own members to vote.
But what are the chances of this happening?
