But make no mistake people need simplification in the business model. Look at Westfarmers. Trading in a very tight range for years, then announced divestments. The immediate analyst reaction ............you cannot achieve prosperity to selling off assets. Well look what happened, WestFarmers broke out of the trading range upwards. Similarly QBE. Mr O' Halloran hopelessly complicated QBE by an incessant stream of acquisitions. This path is now closed.
Make no mistake QBE needed to be simplified. And the process has just started.
