increasing reinsurance cover in the new year, whilst reducing risk, will also reduce future profit.
And the pricing of that reinsurance cover will also be higher given the elevated levels of claims over the last 5 years.
So overall I don't see this as a positive catalyst for the share price (I also don't see it being a major negative catalyst), overall the market is reducing its expectations of future EPS, hence the share price dropping.
