"In August 2010, QBE announced a restructure into three main operating divisions: the Americas; Europe and Australia Asia Pacific. The next step in the restructure is the establishment of the new role of CEO of Global Underwriting Operations based in Sydney. QBE is pleased to announce that John Neal, currently Chief Underwriting Officer of QBE’s European operations, has been appointed to this position effective 1 January 2011. John will be responsible for the day to day management of the underwriting performance and the underwriting operations of these three divisions."
John Neal was appointed the "CEO of Global Underwriting Operations". Mate, he's was across all the crap going on.
Now Franky O was shown the door in Sept 2012 and then they appointed John Neal as the CEO. Now he has had 4 years and you are telling me that he's still working on legacy issues?
You underwrite business over a 12 month period, if it's it crap - price it out of the park or just offload the portfolio to someone else and be done with it.
