Having lived in Japan & working with many domestic financial institutions for quite a few years (6) knowing the types of acquisitions they like to make, QBE (& SUN for that matter) do stand out as possible takeover targets.
I'd think they continue to be mandated to acquire assets outside of Japan whilst they remain hellbent on depreciating their own currency. Adding new sources of foreign currency income is a major focus of Japanese corporates.
Just a big picture view, but one worth keeping in the back of your mind... DYOR
