Q: By stating QBL has State Hemp Permits - is this for every state and territory? Is the federal permit that QBL has applied for Cannabis Research Licence? And what about Medicinal Cannabis Licence and Manufacture Licence?
A: MCL has contractual arrangements with expert and renowned farmers to grow our hemp crops. Different States have different regulations, in NSW, for example, farmers grow under our license, in QLD and VIC, our farmers need to have their own licenses to grow for us, which they have secured, and that is the contractual arrangement we have in place with our farmers.
On the medical licensing side, although MCL is in the process of local license applications, MCL actually does not require a local Australian license, as we have previously announced, we are doing our cutting-edge research on our genetics from our unique seed bank, and our medical product developments, together with the leading Israeli Cannabis research labs and universities, who operate under Israeli licenses, and with our Canadian pharmaceutical partners who are operating under their own Canadian licenses. We are working with world leaders in this space, who are currently far ahead of their Australian research counterparts. Having these research and product development relationships places MCL in a very strong and leading position in all these fields ahead of many of its peers both locally and internationally.
