QC Technician

Ventracor is a medical device company that manufactures the VentrAssistâ„¢ Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD), an implantable blood pump designed as long term therapy for people in end stage heart failure. Ventracor has an opening for a CNC Machining Technician to assist in the manufacture of VentrAssist components at the Kirrawee Production Facility.

Specifically the role will involve the following:


Completing inspection /test records, non-conformance reports, permits/ concession reports, assist to maintain inspection and test environments;
Provide instruction on inspection techniques as required;
Carry out inspection tasks of goods received, WIP and final assemblies ;
Review and release of DHR;
Use equipment for verification activities of components;
Conduct manufacturing audits;
Ensure laboratory equipment and facilities are maintained in accordance with procedures/ plant manuals.


Skills and Experience Required:


Engineering/ trade qualification in Electrical, Electro-mechanical and Manufacturing;
Experience working to ISO9001:9002 quality system requirements;
Minimum 3 years in regulated or manufacturing industry;
Familiar with Statistical Testing and high precision measuring equipment;
Strong communication skills;
Able to work independently, unsupervised;
Appreciation & knowledge of OH&S regulations.
