The best analogy I have heard is comparing the NBN to a 4 lane highway.
Now the question - Do we ALL need a 4 lane highway to our door step LOL ?
FTTN is the best option with a range of options for the last mile, inc copper, fiber, wireless or whatever other technology emerges in the next couple of years.
$43B - What a joke with out a cost benefit analysis.
If Telstra were to try and roll out a $1B plan without a cost benefit analysis they would be hung out by the shareholders !
It appears that most Australians do not see them selves as shareholders of the Australian economy but rather recipients of what they believe to be a freebie from the Government.
