Gees come on dbl21, yet again, I don't think both sides of the argument are presented here.
I am no a/c mechanic but from what I understand, due to modern aircraft in the fleet, less maintenance and checks are required.
IMO, the mechanics are being overly onerus doing extra work that is no longer required. ie. I also refer to recent closure of a maintenance facility.
It's about time Unions/employees started working with Qantas management to deliver long term sustainable solutions.
