    ASX ANNOUNCEMENT
    WEEKLY DRILLING REPORT
    (as at 6.00am on 18 September 2006)
    Bellevue #3 in ATP 610P
    Spud Date 30 August 2006
    Permit
    ATP 610P in which QGC holds a 60.625% interest, Origin Energy
    CSG Limited holds 29.375% and Sentient Gas Australia Pty Limited
    holds a 10.0% interest.
    Location Latitude: 26o 43’ 39” S Longitude: 150o 18’ 33” E
    Objective
    This well is the first well in the current QGC drilling program. The well
    is designed to investigate the seams of the Juandah and Taroom
    Coal Measures in the pilot area. This will add geological information
    for the reserves upgrade process. The well will be completed across
    the Taroom Coal Measures seams for immediate production testing.
    Bellevue #3 reached a total depth of 534m after intersecting 34.8m of
    gassy coal in the Juandah and Taroom Coal Measures.
    After wireline logging, all significant seams in the Juandah and
    Taroom Coal Measures were underreamed and 7” pre-perforated
    casing was set across the Taroom Coal Measures.
    Current
    Operations
    The well is currently suspended awaiting a workover rig to drill out the
    plug and clean out the well before running the pump.

    Objective
    This well is the second well in the current QGC drilling program. The
    well is designed to investigate the seams of the Juandah and Taroom

    ATP 610P in which QGC holds a 60.625% interest, Origin Energy
    CSG Limited holds 29.375% and Sentient Gas Australia Pty Limited
    holds a 10.0% interest.
    Location Latitude: 26o 43’ 53” S Longitude: 150o 16’ 36” E
    Objective
    This well was originally drilled as a farmin well to investigate the coal
    seam gas potential of the Juandah Coal Measures in ATP 610P. The
    well reached a TD of 419m before being plugged back to 310m.
    The well will be re-entered and cleaned out before a downhole pump
    is set and a test program to evaluate the seams of the upper Juandah
    Coal Measures commences.
    Current
    Operations
    Workover operations were completed on 9 September 2006 and well
    testing commenced on 11 September 2006 and the well is currently
    producing between 400 and 500bbls of water and small volumes of
    gas.
    Berwyndale #2R in ATP 632P
    Spud Date 24 May 2001
    Permit ATP 632P in which QGC holds a 90.0% interest and Sentient Gas
    Australia Pty Limited holds a 10.0% interest.
    Location Latitude: 26o 47’ 20” S Longitude: 150o 17’ 36” E
    Objective
    This well was originally drilled as a farmin well to investigate the coal
    seam gas potential of the upper Juandah Coal Measures in ATP
    632P. The well reached a TD of 297m and the well wireline logged.
    15 samples taken for desorption testing before the well was
    suspended.
    The well will be re-entered and the lower Juandah Coal Measures
    and Taroom Coal Measures cored to evaluate their CSG potential.
    Current
    Operations The rig is setting up over the well and coring should commence today.
    Woleebee Creek #2 in ATP 651P
    Spud Date 22 August 2001
    Permit ATP 651P in which QGC holds an 85.0% interest and Lucas Coal
    Seam Gas Pty Ltd holds a 15.0% interest.
    Location Latitude: 26o 17’ 56” S Longitude: 149o 42’ 56” E
    Objective
    This well was originally drilled/cored to investigate the coal seam gas
    potential of the Juandah Coal Measures in ATP 651P. The well
    reached a TD of 681m and the well wireline logged. 30 coal samples
    were collected for desorption testing. All significant seams in the
    Juandah Coal Measures were underreamed and the well suspended.
    The well will be re-entered and cleaned out before a downhole pump
    is set and a test program to evaluate the seams of the Juandah Coal
    Measures commences.
    Current
    Operations
    Workover operations commenced on 10 September 2006 and the well
    is currently undergoing the well clean-out program.
