I totally wondered the same thing and if they were so confident about the doom and gloom why did they not hold till.$0? Unless of course their stock was recalled by longs funds that wanted to dump was my thinking.
However they can't stop working. They are still here sussing out the situation.
As far out there as this idea might be, is there a remotest possibility that funds dump for a false signal, incite fear and then reaccumulate at even cheaper? I hear of this practice (whether real or not as I have no idea) amongst gold stocks. If anybody has a case study they wish to share would love to hear it!
Anyhow, for a bit of empowerment, I read up today about the Volkswagen short squeeze. An old article but gives some hope for us longs.
