In harvesting sandalwood you remove the stump as it has valuable oil. Most of the plantations with a few years growth will be taken over by one of the very eager forestry management companies out there who run lean mean operations and are not into the MIS style of operation.
Believe me, there are plenty of competent forestry managers out there. All of the "failed" bluegum plantations are now being managed properly. It doesn't mean the original investors get their money back but they will get a better percentage than if the original money burners were in charge. Not much hope for you shareholders but this may be a blessing for growers.
