Treasurer Curtis Pitt has set the scene declaring the 2015 State Budget will be a “real Labor Budget”. This is a worry.
It means featherbedding of the public service for unwanted, unnecessary and irrelevant unions.
It means no meat on the bones for serious infrastructure projects. It means a neglect of the bush and regional Queensland.
The bad omen was Labor’s decision to transfer debt to the utilities. This only transfers debt from one cupboard to another.
I fear Curtis Pitt is hellbent on taking us deeper into the debt abyss with reckless spending to appease his unions pals. ...as for the Labor Budget, I hear there will be a lot of accountancy trickery.
