I lived on the Goldie thru the Commonwealth Games debacle. We were warned to stay off the roads it will be gridlock, don't work take holidays, it's our Games not yours. So the locals voted with their feet and flocked to the Sunny coast, Byron, Kingscliff, anywhere to escape the Govt fear campaign. It was a massive, deserted joke mismanaged by the public service at taxpayers expense. Good luck Brisso, you'll need it.
