    Well spotted Jonathan,

I really feel for all of you long suffering holders to have got so close yet to be so far from your just reward.

I hope you do not mind me throwing in my 2 cents worth in ..I was ready to invest in CXY ..after a lot of research..just before the "proverbial" hit the fan...that's no apology!

This,to me, reeks of a politically and commercially motivated ploy to destroy the "UCG threat" on QLD....it would make a great "4 corners" investigation.

From where I sit on the sidelines, all I can say is that it seems to be a well orchestrated manouvre for someone elses gain..be it political or commercial.

The federal election is not over yet..there are three independants that still need to make up their mind. Maybe some well placed emails to Catter,Windsor, et al, could jog some action...just a thought.

The best way to resolve these sort of imbroglio's is the Hip Pocket nerve.

A class action by shareholders against the "protagonists" could bring them back to earth in a hurry...whether they be local Green party apparatchiks, local media, state media, local government or state government instrumentalities or even the stste government...somewhere along the line they are all accountable at law.

You have all been hit in the pocket and it appears to me unjustifiably so!

    I quote from Jonathan111's post

"Cougar has hit back this week, stating that it is obtaining legal advice on how to deal with misleading information being distributed by several parties in an apparent attempt to satisfy their own agendas.

Cougar managing director Len Walker told PNN it was clear there was no significant basis to the so-called environmental concerns about the Kingaroy project."

All I can say is ..go for it Len..and ask your shareholders to support you...kick some butt and let it be known whilst there is still political uncertainty and oppotunity.

It appears, to me, that a large number of shareholders and others ,directly or indirectly, involved in the Kingaroy debacle have either a massive amount to lose or equally a massive amount to gain.

It seems that a lot gets resolved very quicklt in political circles when there is a lot to lose for them ..politically speaking of course.

This situation is of national importance to Australia, especially to the future of the energy sector.Something stinks here..big time!..and it's not the waft of benzene in your local petrol outlet.

Come to think of it ..you would need to close down just about every petrol/deisel refuelling outlet in Australia if you carried through the logic applied to CXY re Benzene readings.

Maybe a concerted thrust to have every petrol outlet in australia targetted for hazardous benzene readings may set the cat amongst the pidgeons..let alone those fuming government buses.

It would bring the country to a standstill.

As some other poster noted..the biggest problem in the crop growing cow grazing countryside is the level of toxic organophosphates and chlorine based herbicides/pesticides.
..not small levels of Benzene,,most of which are naturally occuring via deep HC formations...Long and ringed chain hydrocarbons are all over the place in their natural habitats, deep or shallow formations..they do seep into the water tables naturally....this is generally not an issue until someone wants to make it an issue...think about it!

    Enough from me :

lastly..the world is contaminated with all sorts of Hydrocarbons ..the stuff we are made of.

Astronomers wet their pants if they find HC indicators in their exoplanetary exploration..looking for signs of life???

    Keep fighting,

    HR

No advice given nor intended..it's how I see it at the moment...The Trades are suspended so it will not have an impact there...but I do hope that justice prevails for shareholders and hard done by companies of any sort...especially CXY..given the seeming political intervention here...but hey ,I am allowed an opinion just like you and the others.DYODD.

My sentiment would normally be hold and fight.
