PCR testing is not the best. There have been a number of reports of false negatives and false positives. Last week one lady in Sydney had to be tested 5 times before her test came back positive. She knew she had COVID.
PCR testing is just a case of pathology companies protecting their industry and the cashflow.
They are probably responsible for the TGA requirements becoming a lot more stricter than previously with ISO quality requirements and auditing being tougher.
ADO are going through all the hurdles placed in front of them but the likes of Ellume are using political pressure to get the Government and Health Authorities to change their mind on RAT.
ADO need to start marketing their test results and misinformation about the accuracy and sensitivity of results. NSW cannot wait any longer to introduce RAT for industries, businesses and schools even if it is the at home test. The TGA need to grant emergency use for Rapid Antigen Testing.
Tomorrow's COVID press conference in NSW should be interesting.
