The issue is the **ba can't get much bigger. There is too much critical infrastructure hemming it in. It is a great stadium, but it can never be more than a 43,000 seat stadium. We miss out on a lot in Brisbane with people flying to Sydney and Melbourne to see concerts, sporting events, etc and in reality we should be at least like Perths oval which is 60,000 seats or more, or Adelaide Oval at 55,000That would get people flying to Brisbane as more events would be here.
The **ba can still be an important stadium, but it is too small to attract events. This is the fastest growing city in Australia with a population of 2.6m people compared to Perth with 2.2m and Adelaide with 1.4m. We bid for the Olympics and we don't want to set the city back due to embarrassment on world stage.
