Opposition Leader Annastacia Palaszczuk has ruled out funding the rail line connecting Abbot Point to the proposed coal mine
This is illogical. QR National makes a lot of money haulin' coal. If they don't have the cash sell a MATURE asset capable of standing on it's own to fund this one. That is what governments are supposed to do, get new projects up and running, not milk old ones.
And is the State funding Abbot Pt. dredging? If they are, [and I simply don't know] then they will get a return via port fees. Anna is guarding the existing assets like an old hen but turning her back on new ones.
The Courier Mail was right y'day: It's the economy, stupid. Qld labor is economically illiterate.
