For those who missed the Queensland budget announcement today, here is an extract from the article in the OZ:

    http://www.theaustralian.com.au/national-affairs/state-politics/lnp-hits-188m-surplus-in-queensland-budget/story-e6frgczx-1226941539214

"After several years of public sector cuts, Mr Nicholls also foreshadowed a long-awaited privatisation program to reduce overall debt levels and announced a series of dedicated funds to distributed the profits.

"Guided by a Commission of Audit, and a series of stakeholder meetings, the LNP will go to the next election with a six-year plan to sell power generators Stanwell and CS Energy and a regional water pipeline, lease the Port of Gladstone and the Port of Townsville and Mt Isa Rail Line, and consider private sector investment in power transmission corporation Powerlink and distributors Energex and Ergon."

I just hope the generators are privatised in small enough parcels for EPW to digest one or two.
