The Liberal state government in WA inherited a surplus from the previous Labor government. They turned it into a deficit in their first year and that deficit is growing larger. The Qld LNP government inherited a debt from the previous Labor government and that debt is growing larger. This is their second budget and they are still spending a lot more than they have coming in. Far from paying down the inherited debt they are adding to it. And my bet is that the same thing is going to happen federally. Dave R.
