Given it is more than 24-48 hours since the murder, one would assume they would have been quick to notify the media if he was not a Muslim...
...however, if you are desperate to put this incident on ice in order to deflect the debate, my previous post was a general one that applies to the general problem/situation which is widespread.
Further, as already indicated, this problem is worse if these attackers are indeed 'garden variety' Muslims (who just snap) as opposed to 'terrorists', which by the way, I agree this bloke probably was not.
