I think you will find the shorters got caught with their pants down on this one......
today asic has a system failure and hasn't reported shorts...but I have tracked them and whilst there has been a weakening in the shorts it hasn't been significant enough to say they are hitting the exits
but 3 dates show irregularities..in contravention of reporting rules...
since asic,the asx and the funds managers in aust and brokers have started a campaign to put the brakes on HF trading and the dark pools have become exposed...it appears these offshore shorters may be in the spotlight or firing line for some prosecutions....
they are in dire straights if Pdn makes its 2 nd and 3 rd deals...and they are sufficient to wipe out all of Pdn debt....
as for the spot market...a small market ..a distraction..pdn does not deal in the spot market.....
but as I recall a former soviet bloc country recently sold into the spot market ...as they needed the cash.....don't recall all the details...but its a short term issue.....
pdn is holding inventory back for its dec qtr sales.....
in that time some would be start ups will fall over ...and thats to pdn advantage.......
